POST-DIVORCE LITIGATION

Post-divorce litigation, also known as post-judgment divorce litigation, is a legal action or modification that happens after a divorce or judgment is finalized. It can address issues that arise after the divorce decree or judgment.

Common reasons for post-divorce proceedings include enforcement of court orders, modifications to spousal support or alimony due to a substantial change in the financial situation of either ex-spouse, disputes over property division, parental relocation, appeals of court decisions, implementation of Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs),  issues related to health insurance coverage or remarriage, a change in your child’s educational or health care needs or changes in child custody, visitation, or support arrangements.
